WHAT CSW IS DOING TO HELP EAST TIMOR

- CSW will continue to research and reveal claims of persecution so as to advocate on behalf of those who are suffering, in addition to networking with other organizations such as the Secular Institute of Brothers & Sisters in Christ, the Assemblies of God church, and others. whose focus is on serving the Christians in this region.

- Christians in East Timor will continue to be mentioned in our prayer calendar. As we receive updates we will publish them on our website and/or in future issues of Outcry.

- CSW will continue to provide support to East Timor, especially in the area of encouraging ecumenical relations between Protestants and Catholics and defending religious freedom

- CSW will continue to challenge those who would listen to speak about East Timor in our respective countries, as an example of a people who struggled against the odds and finally won their desired independence. East Timor can be held up as a beacon of hope, to inspire activists in the free world that it is worth working for justice and human rights;

WHAT YOU CAN DO

You can PRAY

 - Pray that Catholics and Protestants in East Timor would reconcile with one another and that eventual peace might exist between these groups and their Muslim neighbors and countrymen

 - Pray that God would give East Timor the strength, leadership and organization to maintain its interests autonomously, and that neighboring powers would not impose their own agendas on this developing nation
