INDONESIA 

WHAT CSW IS DOING TO HELP INDONESIA

- CSW has traveled several times to Indonesia to provide direct aid (recent needs were blankets, digital cameras to document offenses, and a variety of other supplies for the refugees) and to bring back the stories and testimonies, some from firsthand experience, necessary to bring advocacy and change to the region.

- CSW will continue to research and reveal claims of persecution so as to advocate on behalf of those who are suffering, in addition to networking with other organizations whose focus is on serving the Christians in this region. 

- Christians in Indonesia will continue to be mentioned in our prayer calendar. As we receive updates we will publish them on our website and/or in future issues of Outcry.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

You can PRAY

- Ask God to urge the conscience of Indonesian authorities to enforce the peace agreements already in place

- Pray that Muslims and Christians would learn to co-exist peacefully, and that extremists from each group would put an end to their violent acts against innocent people

- Please pray that Jihad warriors would be unsuccessful in their alleged plans to purge Indonesia of Christianity, and that followers of Jesus Christ would see their faith grow and be a witness to their worst persecutors

You can PROTEST

Write to your Senator at U.S. Senate, Washington, DC 20510, or your Representative at U.S. House of Representatives, Washington, DC 20515.  (Call the Capitol Hill Switchboard at (202) 224-3121 to find out your Congressperson’s name). Ask your Congressperson to raise your concerns with both the Congress and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, and to additionally raise this in appropriate international forums.
