NAGORNO KARABAKH |
|
|
WHAT CSW IS DOING TO HELP NAGORNO KARABAKH - CSW has a working project in Nagorno Karabakh, meaning that we actually support a facility or program with funding and not merely advocacy and emergency aid. The project is an orthopedic clinic and rehabilitation center, used to treat victims of the brutal battle for faith waged by Karabakh's Muslim neighbors. The clinic supplies tools and treatment necessities as well as funding salaries for nurses and other trained medical personnel. - Because the Karabakhians (who are Armenian) are the oldest ethnic group to have officially adopted Christianity, they often find themselves at high risk for being attacked, especially since they are geographically seated in a hotbed of Islamic fundamentalists. Because of their high-risk status, CSW will continue to research and reveal claims of persecution so as to advocate on behalf of those who are suffering, in addition to networking with other organizations whose focus is on serving the Christians in this region. - Christians in Nagorno Karabakh will continue to be mentioned in our prayer calendar. As we receive updates we will publish them on our website and/or in future issues of Outcry. Read the latest newsletter from the Rehabilitation Centre - click here

You can PRAY - Pray that the Karabakhians will be able to maintain their Christian faith, even in the midst of being surrounded by Muslim influence and power - Pray that the rehabilitation clinic would receive the funding and supplies it needs in order to maintain operations, and that the injured citizens would find relief from their painful wounds - Pray that neighboring Muslim
countries would leave Nagorno Karabakh alone, allowing it to maintain its
connection with its Armenian motherland, despite geographic challenges. You can PROTEST Write to your
