BIO      Many poor children in Nepal, especially from the
remote villages, will never have a chance of an education,
since all schools in Nepal have to charge fees. Some kids will
labor in the fields all day long, unable to read and write; some
may be exploited from an early age in a factory; and some girls
(thousands every year) will be sold into the sex-trade in India.

But now there is hope for these children through the Solidarity
International Academy, a Christian school where poor and
needy children are educated through the generosity of inter-
      national sponsors.

If you participate in our sponsorship project, your regular
financial giving makes you a partner in educating a special
child. You have a unique opportunity to pray for the child you
sponsor. You can send cards and letters and presents for
birthdays and Christmas. And you receive periodic letters from
CSW reporting on the progress of the school and your
      sponsored child.

The vision of the Founding Principal of the Academy - Rishi
Acharya - is to rescue and to love the needy children, to edu-
cate them and give them a faith for life. It is to give back to the
remote rural villages fresh young leaders who will help
develop literacy, health care and craft cooperatives. 100
children from remote villages attend the school as boarders
and live together in a remarkably happy family atmosphere.
There is a hostel on site, with a kitchen and dining room,
several bedrooms and dormitories, with showers, toilets and
      laundry facilities attached.

Over 300 children have already been sponsored as pupils.
They are graduating and going into their communities to be a
light in the darkness, sharing what they've learned with others
and providing Christian leadership in this Hindu nation.

This program is operated from our UK partner office. Please
